I hope that everyone had a lot of wonderful Christmas fun this season. I love Christmas. All of the wonderful yummy goodness, but more important is the time we get to spend with our families. Family time really hit home this year. The day after Christmas my dad suffered from a very mild heart attack. Prayerfully and Thankfully he is doing ok. They fixed the problem yesterday and with a little med change prayerfully this will work this time. Families are so precious and nothing to be taken for granted. I thank God for all of the family that He has given me. I one blessed girl. The picture to the left is from Christmas Eve. Following are some more pictures of this Christmas.

Avery and Aidan loved their Christmas. It is so much fun to see them opening their presents.

My Mom and Dad took us to the Peabody for Christmas Eve. It was so much fun spending time with the ducks. :)

We then went to Gleason for some more Christmas fun. The picture to the left is of Bryan, me, his sisters, brother in law, neice, nephew and cousins. The picture to the right is after a long day of Christmas day fun.

Kenady and Baker had a great time with their presents. I love seeing the joy on kids faces at Christmas.

Prayer Request

Please pray for some friends of ours from our Sunday School class. Calvin and Amanda White's precious little baby girl Bailey passed away during the night. She was born in June of 2003 and was not expected to live more than a few weeks. They were blessed with Bailey for 3 1/2 years. She has a little sister Addie who is 1 1/2. Her funeral is tomorrow. Please pray for this family as they go through this hard time. Thank you.

Thanksgiving Message

Ok, so maybe I am getting older, or I am just getting more sentimental. I just wanted to express just how thankful I am this Thanksgiving. It overwhelms me to know exactly how God blesses me everyday. He has blessed me with a wonderful husband for whom I will be eternally grateful. I never knew that I would be this blessed. I am thankful for my family that means so much to me. For those that know me, you all know how close I am to my Mama and Daddy. I have said before that I don't know why God blessed me with them, but I sure am glad He did.

Not only has he blessed me with such wonderful parents, but He has blessed me with great in-laws.

He also blessed me with two sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, and a precious neice and nephew. In Sunday School this past Sunday someone asked if you had brothers or sisters. Well, being an only child, I didn't raise my hand. But, my youngest sister-in-law looked at me and said, "yes you do. you have two sisters." I don't think that she will know how much that meant to me.
I have also been blessed with wonderful cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents. I only have a picture of my cousins. Sorry. Bryan's family has been wonderful to me ever since we got married. I could go on and on about the countless blessings that my family and friends have been to me, but I have probably bored you enough. I do have wonderful friends. (Sorry, don't have a picture I can upload quickly). I pray that each of you finds time to reflect on what your family and friends mean to you this holiday season. I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with warm yummy goodness.

Prayer Request

I have a prayer request for all those that read this blog. Debbie Moltz, a lady at Highland Street Church of Christ, is suffering from cancer. Suffering doesn't even seem to cover what this amazing woman for God is going through. The following is her blogspot, www.moltz.blogspot.com You will be able to keep up with Debbie's condition through this site. Thank you all for your prayers.

Wonderful Parents

(Ok. So this isn't the most recent picture. :) )

Proverbs says that "Parents are the pride of their children." Well, I can honestly say that my parents make me proud. I have been blessed with the most wonderful set of parents a girl could have asked for. I am awed by the fact that God chose these two wonderful people to be my parents.

I have a special prayer request from all who are reading this. My daddy goes in tomorrow for a heart stent. This is a pretty easy procedure most of the time. His is going to be done in the back of his heart at a branch off one of his vessels. He had quadruple bypass two years ago, and all but one of those are now clogged. He along with my mom are such amazing people for God. Please pray for the doctors and staff that they will be careful with daddy. And pray for peace with my mom. For anyone that knows them, they are riots and amazing to be around. There is never a dull moment. One of my dad's favorite passages of scripture is Psalm 30, which he calls the "Let's Dance" verse. "You turned my wailing into dancing...."

Thank you so much for your prayers.

Pumpkin Head

I love this picture. Isn't my little pumpkin head cute?

Trunk or Treat

We had so much fun at Trunk or Treat last night. It was so much fun to see all of the little kids having so much fun. And I love that churches have adopted the Trunk or Treat thing. As for me, I would scared to death for my kid to go door door anymore. The pics above are our trunk.

Halloween Fun

Well, how generic can we get. HA. We went to our church Halloween Hayride tonight. You had to dress in a costume, so Bryan and I went as a generic couple. We were able to take my cousin Avery with us. This was her first old fashioned hayride and bonfire, and she had a great time. It is so awesome being able to share in a child's "first."

Words of Wisdom

You know how sometimes you just need to hear some words of wisdom. I was reading a friend of mine's blog, and she had the following quote (paraphrased in her words): "God is calling us to a standard that we cannot possibly live up to. But through His work in us, we can attain this impossible standard. He makes us what we cannot possibly be on our own. " This is from Dr. Howard Hazelip.
I love the part, He makes us what we cannot possibly be on our own.
Praise God that He leads us through this life, and that with His help and guidance we can make it through this life.
I hope that y'all have a very blessed week.

Our Celina Trip

Bryan and I just got back from beautiful Celina, TN. This is where we worked with the local Church of Christ as youth ministers. We have not been there in 3 years, so it was great to see our dear friends again. Our friends Matt and Tara now have a 2 year old little girl. Time really flys.

The view to the left is one of my favorites in Celina. It is where the Cumberland and the Obey rivers meet.

"Be Still and know that I am God"

I have always loved that verse, but today that verse and Lamentations 3:25, "The Lord is good to those who wait on Him, " mean so much more. Bryan and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year. I have been going to a wonderful doctor since June, and today he told me what he thinks is wrong. He feels that my thyroid is a bit out of sorts. He has put me on medicine to try and correct the problem. I didn't know until today all of the things that can go wrong if you have an off thyroid. Your chances of miscarriage go up. Your chances of having a baby prematurely go up. And, your chances of having a baby with a health impairment or mental retardation go up.
For a year I have been praying for a baby, and now I thank God that I didn't get pregnant because of all of the things that could have gone wrong. "The Lord is good to those who wait on Him."

I also want to thank you all for praying for baby Max Julian. He is doing much better.

Ahhh, the life

Wouldn't you love to have the life of a dog. For those that don't know this is our "baby" Rudy. He is a short leg Jack Russell Terrier, and he thinks that he is a human. And he gets very offended when you say that he is a dog. We have had him now for 51/2 years, and he turned 6 this month.

Family Photo Album

We now have a family photo album on flickr. I am getting into this high tech thing. Kind of scary I know. To view our pictures just go to

Game Day Victory and One Happy Coach

Well, this coach's face says it all. Southaven High School won their season opener tonight. They played a huge rival DeSoto Central High School. DeSoto Central is the other high school in Southaven. This game was for the Mayor's Cup. The boys played an awesome game. We as fans were all very happy and proud of them.

The first two weeks of school are now behind us. It has been really good. Bryan has 60 kids in his resource class. This is a lot for sped, but he can do it. My case load has not been confirmed yet, but I think that that will all change this next week.

Please pray for a friend's, Kelly and Karie Green, nephew. His in the NICU in Little Rock. He has had some bleeding on his brain, and they are now concerned with long term affects of this. Things are looking better today for him. His website is www.julian-family.blogspot.com

Thank you for your prayers.

Pictures from the Beach

Here are some pictures from our trip to Gulf Shores. Again, we had a wonderful time.
I have honestly never seen the water as blue as it was. Thanks again to Mr. Ken and Ms. Val for a wonderful trip.

This is a picture from a restaurant called Lulu's. If you ever go to Gulf Shores, go to Lulu's on Thursday night. It was really fun.

Lazy, Crazy days of Summer

Ah the beach. We had the best time in Gulf Shores. We went with the Sanders family: Mr. Ken and Ms. Val, Bryan's parents, Beau, Kara, Kenady and Baker, Bryan's sister's family and Jen, Bryan's youngest sister.
We really didn't do a lot down there except for lay around on the beach. It was much needed rest.
I will try and upload some pictures. Right now my computer is kind of cranky.

Starting Over

Hello All. Well, I tried to have a blog once before, but I am terrible at keeping up with stuff like this. I am going to try and do better this time. I hope this site will be good to keep up with friends and family.
Nothing much is happening in the Sanders Family. Summer is winding down, so that means that school will be starting soon. But, not before a trip to the beach. :) I will try and post pictures. I'm not that computer savy.
The first year of being back in DeSoto County was great. Bryan had a great year teaching and coaching. He has found his calling. I also had a great year as a behavior tech/spec. I love working with those wonderful little kids. This summer Bryan taught ESY (extended school year). He really liked it. He was able to work with whole different special needs population. I worked with ESY too. I also helped a friend of mine start an enrichment program for special needs kids. This was a true blessing. I am really going to miss these kids when the summer is over. I have also been tutoring. I know I am a glutton for punishment.

School starts back for us August 8, and it starts back for the kids August 14. We are going to first enjoy a wonderful week on the beach with Bryan's family. Thanks Mr. Ken and Ms. Val. They are treating the family to a week in Gulf Shores. Our neice is really looking forward to it.

Well, I will try and post somemore later. I hope that I can figure out how to post pictures. :)
