Merry Christmas

I hope that you all had a great Christmas. I know we sure did. It started Saturday, December 22 at my cousin Shana's house.
My cousin Kayla and I wore the same outfit. This was not planned.

On Christmas Eve we went to Bryan's Aunt Deb's for breakfast. We then went to Mr. Ken and Ms. Val's to have Christmas with Bryan's parents and sisters.

We then spent Christmas Eve at Bryan's Aunt Kay's house for supper.

We spent Christmas Day with my mom and dad. Here a couple of very pregnant shots. Only one month to go. Woo-hoo.

Oops

Ok, so I just read my blog, and realized that in the last post about my baby shower I already mentioned being induced. I have no memory left. The other day I told my boss that I am going to start walking around with post its on my forehead, so that they can just read the note and let me know why I needed to see them or be in their office. Oh-well. It will all be worth it.

Christmas Time is Here

Ok. So, most everyone knows that I am a huge fan of the fall. But, I also love Christmas, and this year I have really gotten into it. I think it is because I haven't seen my decorations for the past two years. That could be one reason. It is still a little odd to me that this time next year I will have a 10 month old running well crawling around.
The latest with Brody is that Dr. Tinker plans on inducing at 39 weeks. Because I am two hours from the hospital, he does not want to take any chances. That is all fine by me, so the last week in January we will be having a baby boy. I have my 32 week appointment tomorrow. Only one more appointment before he starts seeing me every week. It is going to fly by.

First Baby Shower

Here are a couple of pictures from my first baby shower. The admissions staff at Bethel College gave me this shower. I had to take the pictures with my phone, so some of them look a little blue. My friend Kim made the cakes. It was really fun to see all of the cool stuff that we get to play with.
My last doctors appointment went well. I am now at 30 weeks. Because we live two hours from the hospital, my doctor wants to induce at 39 weeks. I have a feeling that he will induce me Tuesday, Jan. 29th. So, only 9 weeks and counting. I am a little anxious, but most of all I am so excited to see him, and to see what he looks like and to hold him. I can't wait to hold him. Anyway, I will try and update as much as I can.

Just an Update

I really don't like this picture, but some people were wanting to know what I looked like pregnant. This one is the only one that I have right now. If you can believe it, my belly has grown even more since Halloween. I am now 28 weeks. I can't believe that in 12 short weeks, Brody will be here. That is just too insane for me. We are very excited.
Nothing much else has been going on. Basketball season is in full swing, so I don't see Bryan much at all. He absolutely loves coaching, and the coach that he assists is great. Bryan is learning so much from him. My travel season came to a close yesterday, thank goodness. I will be able to be in the office for now.
During the holidays I will try and post more. I have not been the best blogger friend. :)

Prayers for Ethan

This is little Ethan Powell. I have posted prayer requests for him before. Now he needs our prayers more than ever before. His cancer is back, and from what his website says, the doctors are not sure at this point what can be or what they are going to do. Please pray for Ethan and his mom and dad, Ben and Becky. Thank you. His website is www.ethanpowell.com

It's a Boy!!!!

Hello everyone. We are very proud to announce the upcoming birth of Brody Andrew Sanders. He is still to show up around Feb. 4, 2008. Yesterday's ultrasound was the most incredible thing. We were able to see him sucking his toes and playing with his feet. It already looks like he has his daddy's feet and lips. Thank you all for your prayers. Keep them coming.

Just an Update

Hello Everyone,

This is really nothing important. I just wanted to update on how things are going in the Sanders Family. We have been pretty busy the last month. Bryan started school last week, and he absolutely loves teaching at Bradford. He says that this is going to be a great year. I have just been looking for jobs, and I had an interview last week.
The baby is growing and just doing wonderful. I had an appointment last week, and the heartbeat was a good strong 145 beats. We find out next month what we are having. I can't wait.
My parents and my in-laws have been busy helping us. I don't think that I could thank them all enough. My parents have been working at our house in Southaven. It is on the market, so if you know anyone who wants a great house, please let me know. My in-laws have been painting and cleaning up our house in McKenzie, so that we can move in. We move in this Saturday. I can't wait. I will post pictures when things get finished.
I guess that is it. Have a great week.

Prayers Please

I posted about this family before, but wanted to give you an update. A couple of months ago I posted about baby Janey. Her parents just found out that she had anencephaly which is a birth defect that affects the brain. When a child is born with anencephaly they only live about an hour or less. Baby Janey was born last night. She lived about an hour. All of her family was able to hold her and love on her. Please keep this family in your prayers. I tried to attach their blog link, but I don't really know how to do that kind of stuff, so I hope it works. I hope that everyone has a blessed day.

First Baby Picture!!!!!!

Here is the first picture of our precious baby. I had my 10 week doctors appointment yesterday. He tried to hear the heartbeat through his doppler, but the wouldn't cooperate. Good little kid. He/She knew his/her mommy would really see and hear it. So,we were able to see it and hear the heartbeat. It was the most amazing thing that I have ever seen in my life. It was wiggling around and kicking it's legs. So, So precious.
Thanks for all of your prayers. Keep them coming.

Prayers Needed

I hope that this blog finds you all having blessed a week. I have a prayer request for all who are reading this. I was on Baby Max's site, and saw a new baby on the prayer list. Her name is Janey. At her mom's ob visit (to see the sex of the baby) they found out that she has anencephaly. My family was touched by this birth defect 25 years ago. My sister, Emily Kay, had anencephaly. She was born and died on Sept 17, 1982.
Please pray for this sweet family. They are having to make choices that they never thought they would ever have to make during the rest of the pregnancy and birth. Janey is due Sept. 17, 2007.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers. As Ethan's dad says...PRAYER WORKS.

To read more about Janey's family, you can click on their blog at www.johnmelandkayden.blogspot.com

Prayers for Ethan

Hello Everyone,

I hope that this blog finds everyone doing well. Many of you know about the little baby who has defied unbelieveable odds, Ethan Powell. He is a four month old little boy with leukemia. Please go to www.ethanpowell.com for more information about him. Anyway, his mom and dad have amazing unwavering faith in the Great Physician, and they know that all things are possible through the great I AM. So, here is my request. They just found out the Ethan has a rare gene that makes it really hard to find a match for a bone marrow donor. Having a bone marrow transplant is the only thing (as of right now) that is going to save this babies life. What this rare gene means is that he needs around 2 million bone marrow donors in order to really be able to find the match. Now, don't right that off just yet as impossible, because THERE IS NOTHING THAT GOD CAN NOT DO.

Goodman Oaks is having a bone marrow drive May 12th from 9am to 2pm. Pray about this, and if you feel the need to come and be tested please do so. It is a simple check swab and I think the cost is $25, but I am not sure. I haven't heard a for sure price on that. Having your check swabbed would mean that you would be on the national bone marrown registry, but if picked you can always say no.

Please pray for this little baby, and also please put him on your church email list. Prayer is an amazing gift that God has given us.

Thank you all so much for your time and most of all for your prayers.

Sarah

The Astronomical Grace of God

Tonight I watched one of the most amazing dvds. It was from Louie Giglio's Indescribable tour. He spoke about how great our God is, and how great the galaxy and solar system is. He compared us to a tiny speck in the greatness in which we live. It really put everything into perspective. If God can make the Heavens and the Earth, what can't He do for me. Our God knows every star by name. One researcher said that in order for us to count the stars in our Milky Way Galaxy, it would take over 2,000 years to count all them at a rate of 1 per second. That is huge, and God cares for you and me. The following image is from the Whirlpool Galaxy. It is 31 million miles from Earth, and it is the most prominent because it is at an exact angle to the earth, so that we can see it straight on.

The next image is of the center of the Whirlpool Galaxy called the x-factor.

To me that is the amazing Grace of my God. Even in the galaxies, He is showing us His Amazing Grace from another galaxy. If He can do this, what can't He do for me.

The song "For His Glory"

Ok, maybe this time it will let me post the song. The following are the lyrics for the song. May God Bless you through this song.

Along the dusty, traveled path
Sat a lonely man whose eyes would never see
Holding out a trembling hand
Listening to each and every self-righteous decree
Then the question heard, “whose sin brought on this suffering?”
And from the Master’s lips the answer came

That our Father’s power might be shown
That the depths of mercy unimagined could be known
That he could hear Messiah’s name
From the hilltops stand and claim,
“All I know is I was blind, and now I see”
Everything, everything
It was all for His glory

Humbly, we seek Your face again
For the tiny ones riddled with such pain
For the weary hearts that cry aloud all night
From this broken world where living seems in vain
Still the question comes, “Lord, why allow such suffering?”
And from His heart, the answer’s still the same

That our Father’s power might be shown
That the depths of mercy unimagined could be known
So as rain falls on every soul
In weakness, our God makes us whole
So that we can shout, “There is a God! And my God hears my plea!”
Yeah everything, everything
It was all for His glory

Lord,I believe . . . I must believe . . . all I have is to believe
Lord I believe . . . Help me believe . . . Lord I really do believe

That our Father’s power might be shown
That the depths of mercy unimagined could be known

It was all for His glory

Prayer Works

I recently posted a prayer request for a little boy, who has survived 28 days. Awesome God. He was not supposed to make it 72 hours. Our God is awesome, and He shows us everyday. I have posted requests for prayers for my dad, and I thank you all for that. He is doing great. Also, my in-laws both recently went through some out patients surgeries, and Praise God they are doing great from them.

I am going to try and post a song to this post. It was written by Ethan's (the little boy) aunt. She wrote it for him. It is so powerful. I hope that you are lifted up by it as much as I was.

God bless you this week.

Morgan Keegan Tennis Tournament

Tonight we able to go to the Racquet Club of Memphis to watch this year's tennis tournament. This tournament gives proceeds to St. Jude. I have never been before and must say, it was a lot of fun. I learned a lot about tennis. Allstate, the company my dad works for, is co-sponser of the tournament. We able to eat a wonderful Greek meal, and sit in the Allstate box. It was pretty cool. The players that we got to see were Andy Roddick and Venus Williams. It is amazing to see such althelics play. It was awesome. The following pictures are from the tourney. They were taken with our camera phones, so they are a little fuzzy.

Aidan's Second Birthday

All he wanted was some cake......

Now that is more like it.....

When your dog thinks he is a penguin

Ok, so you are probably wondering Huh? This is a picture of Rudy, our dog, begging for food. He sits all the way on his bottom, so he looks like a penguin. My dad has always said that he is dog, that is shaped like a pot belly pig and marked like a jersey cow, so I guess now we have and sits like a penguin to go along with his many identities.

Happy New Year

Hello All.
Well it is a new year. All of us have made resolutions. The Sanders' family has also made resolutions. One of the resolutions that Bryan and I have made is to loose weight. We want to get healthy. So the pictures of us on this blog are the last that you will see of us at these weights. Bryan is doing the Biggest Looser at school. They broke off into teams and have a trainer. He has already lost 4 pounds. Yeah for Bryan. I am doing Weight Watchers. We are doing Weight Watchers at church. I weighed tonight and for my first week I have lost 2 pounds. Yeah me. Bryan and I are also doing a Biggest Looser at with our Sunday school class. I think that we start that this week.
Good blessings with all of your resolutions.
